Intelcan is a qualified prime contractor for airport construction and design-build projects such as aviation traffic models, airport layouts, passenger terminals, control towers, hangers, warehouses and commercial buildings.

Intelcan’s architects, structural engineers and design-build provide a complete building solution; from the foundation through to the interior finishing and specialized building systems. This capability was acquired over the past 40 years.

1970s Intelcan wins its first airport project tender which dealt with the re-building of Terminal 1 at Havana’s Jose Marti airport.
 
1980s Intelcan builds its second major Area Control Centre at Robertsfield International Airport.

Intelcan designs the Master Plan for its first green field airport project at Varadero Airport which accommodates two million passengers per year.

 
1990s Intelcan commences the construction of Cayo Largo airport (which accommodates 1,5 million passengers per year).

Intelcan is awarded the design build contract for the development of Holguin Airport.

Intelcan is also awarded the design build contract for Camagüey Airport.

Intelcan is awarded the contract for Terminal 3 in Havana, an architecturally award-winning terminal. This terminal was designed to accommodate 12 million passengers.

Intelcan wins the contract for the Romania’s Fetesti airport for the upgrade to NATO standards.

Intelcan awarded the contract for the renovations of Krumovo and Graf Ignatievo airports in Bulgaria.

 
2000s Intelcan renovates Bezmer airport in Bulgaria

Intelcan signs the contract for renovating Boboc and Campia Turzi airports in Romania.

 
2010s Intelcan is awarded the contract for the construction of ATC towers at Norman Manley and Sangster airports in Jamaica.
